About

Larry West, and the work of We Care.

A Texas preacher’s son who spent a lifetime asking one question — and training churches to ask it too.

Give ’em heaven

Soul-winning as a way of life.

Larry West grew up watching his father win souls with filmstrips and charts. He never got over it. After years with World Radio Gospel Broadcasts, he and Peggy poured that same urgency into We Care Ministries — sponsored by White's Ferry Road Church of Christ, West Monroe, Louisiana.

The method is not clever. Teams knock doors. They show genuine interest. They ask about a person’s walk with the Lord. Then they ask the question: What if the Lord were to come right now? Would you know for sure, nothing doubting, that you would go to heaven?

Campaigns have baptized thousands. A two-week effort will often bring twenty to a hundred people to the water. AfterCare workshops stay behind so new Christians are not left alone, and so local churches learn to keep doing the work after the team goes home.

The aim has not changed: save souls, train soul-winners, leave congregations stronger than they were found.

“Give ’em heaven.”
